Kanha also comprises a wide variety of birds, which is a sought after destination for bird watchers and ornithologists. Recent study has revealed that there are more than 300species of birds at Kanha. The Bamboo and the grassy forests are a home to many birds. Water birds can be spotted at the many rivulets within the park. Early morning and late afternoon is the best time for bird watching. The best period to watch birds is during winter.
